Hi, it´s Raja!

I am also here for you 💪 and I look forward to the next Ask Me Anything Session we have together on July 27th!

I meet many business owners who are growing their businesses by leveraging social media. That's great. That's what I also do.

BUT, it comes with some risks.

Last year, as I started gaining more visibility online, some scammers thought it was a great idea to start duplicating my profile (on platforms on which I was not even active anymore, like Instagram) obviously to approach my network.

As you grow online, this is a risk we face.

One of the posts I made to help report them

As soon as my network and I reported it, a new FAKE account was created. GREAT 😖

In addition, my Instagram account got blocked. I wasn't even active on Instagram anymore!

It was a wake-up call.

Relying solely on social media channels without a direct communication strategy comes with risks, and here are some others:

  • The Algorithm: Social media platforms frequently tweak their algorithms, which means your posts may not always reach your followers like they used to.

  • Platform Dependence: What if the platform goes out of favor, like MySpace, or shuts down entirely?

  • Data Ownership: You don't own the data. You can only contact your followers via social media platforms.

  • Unpredictable Costs: Advertising costs on social media platforms can increase without notice.

  • Privacy and Security Issues: Platforms can experience security breaches that can impact the trust users have in your brand.

That's why, a few months ago, I decided to launch a newsletter and have a direct communication channel with you. It is too risky to rely on social media platforms.

Why Should Entrepreneurs Have a Newsletter?

As a business owner, you're not only creating a product or a service, you're crafting a story and you are building relationships.

Newsletters are a great tool to tell your story and build an engaged community around your brand. Here’s why:

  • Direct Communication Channel: With newsletters, you get to connect directly with your audience - no algorithm to compete with!

→ People are more likely to see your email than your social media post.

  • Brand Awareness and Authority: Newsletters help you position yourself as an expert in your industry, and build trust with your audience.

  • Community Building: By providing valuable content, you create a tribe learning from you and looking forward to your insights.

  • Conversion Booster: Newsletters are a strong channel to drive traffic to your website, blog, or social media platforms and convert subscribers into customers.
